One of the unique skills I bring to my work is my training in expressive arts and drama therapy. Expressive arts can deepen and expand our work together by encouraging alternative forms of emotional expression through the use of movement, painting, drawing, sculpting, role play, projective play, sandtray, poetry, music, dreamwork and more. Sometimes we have experiences that transcend words and the expressive arts provide us with other mediums to communicate and express ourselves. By externalizing and abstracting our feelings we can develop a broader perspective and evoke a sense of mastery over our experiences. As a result of this rich and creative exploration we receive the gifts of deep insight, a more intimate knowing of ourselves.
